The Fender American Performer Stratocaster HSS represents the combination of hot humbucker sounds with splashy strate sounds. The instrument, made in Corona, California, is made up of a body made of Erle with four-fold screwed-on maple neck in the Modern-C profile for contemporary playing techniques and has tons specially designed for the American Performer series. Two Yosemite single-coils are used in the neck and middle positions, the coils of which are coated with a Schelllack to prevent unwanted micia. In the Steg position, the DoubleTap Humbucker delivers both powerful sounds of rock and metal as well as clear single reel sounds thanks to Push/Pull Coil Split function of the Tone controller.
