The Jackson Audio Belle Star Overdrive pedal was developed in close collaboration with the Switchfoot guitarist Drew Shirley and packed its signature sound into a pedalboard-friendly pedal. Named after a well-known Urahnin Shirleys, who became fame as an outlaw, the handy effect pedal has an analog low/mid gain circuit with MOSFET clipping, which traces the sound of a fully torn small tube combo in detail and reacts dynamically to the way of play without falsifying the character of the instrument. In addition to the classic passive tone controller for fine tuning the height spectrum, the Jackson Audio Belle Star has an active body controller that determines the sound character of the low frequencies with up to 15 dB boost or cut.
