The effect manufacturer Maxon is inseparably connected to Ibanez and the Tube Screamer for many guitarists, as Maxon has been responsible for the design and production of the legendary pedals since the 70s. When the companies went on separate ways in 2002, Maxon used the know-how gathered with the Tube Screamer and developed its own products, including the coveted overdrive pedals in its own design. The 808-based Maxon OD808X offers more drive, output, improved altitude response and presents itself as one of the most juicy overdrives available on the market.
